The first step in making my monster was making a large slab and rolling it around the PVC pipe to make the cylindrical mug shape. Using the extra slab, the circular base was cut out and attached to the cylinder. Once this hardened slightly, the external features, including the eyes, teeth, and handle were added.
To make the teeth, I rolled very small coils and pinched the edges to give the teeth a pointy look. I then attached it behind a strip of clay that acted as the mouth. The eyes were made by rolling a ball of clay, squishing it flat, and adding a small piece of clay in the middle to act as the pupil.
My monster could serve a few purposes. It could be used as a drinking mug, pencil holder, or plant pot.
